Let’s be honest, social media is ever changing.
New Algorithms, New Platforms, New Trending Songs, Hashtags, Videos, Themes. What WON’T change? These 101 Daily Tasks.
Using these tasks daily won’t make you viral overnight. Here is the thing, If you don’t have substance to your platform BEFORE you go viral, you wont keep the audience you gain from a viral post.
1. Posting on Your Timeline Daily – while 3-5 times might be enough for some, if you are truly wanting to gain reach, followers, and growth…you need to be posting daily. Post content each day, rotating the type of content from text to video to offers or “freebies”
2. Engagement – ENGAGE ENGAGE ENGAGE. Spend 20 minutes a day minimum responding to comments on your posts. Another tip is to scroll groups where your ideal clients are and comment on those threads. The more your name is seen the more people will engage with you and give you the opportunity to show them who you are and what you do. Try to like or comment on a minimum of 10 posts a day.
Be Helpful above all else. The most important thing you can do is bring value to your readers with your comments. Everyone is a potential client or customer. Its okay to add some humor and personality to your comments and be authentic, but make sure to demonstrate your knowledge and NEVER engage in the “troll drama”.
3. Direct Messaging – Don’t let me lose you here. I already know what you are thinking…”nooo, I hate spam DMs”. << that, However, is not what I mean with Direct Messaging. Direct Messaging is a way for you to engage with people who are already on your friends list or like your page. Use that. Keep up with your friend and followers and what they share. Direct Message them Happy Birthday and Congratulations on their new homes. When using Direct Messaging, ask a question, Check in and see how they are for instance. You want to be remembered when they need your services but not pushy and “cold-call-ish”
4. Be Confident – I know, you are wondering how this one has anything to do with what you are posting. Well, it doesn’t, not directly. Mindset is everything. Be confident in the knowledge you are providing. Don’t be scared to make a post, do a live, reply to an ISO post. YOU are your business. Remember that in everything you do every single day. As a Small Business Owner or Entrepreneur your personality and confidence in what you do is NEVER off the clock.
